John L. Wilson was born in Pensacola, Florida and raised on a farm near there.  John and ShirleyAnn were married in 1967, and purchased land in Missouri in 1969 moving here in 1980.  They raised two children and now have two grandchildren. 

Personal Facts:

Education: 
  •   Graduated from Tate High School in Gonzalez, Florida. 
  •   Graduated from Pensacola Junior College in Pensacola, Florida
  •   Completed three years at Eastern Washington State College near Spokane, Washington
  •   Graduated from the University of West Florida earning a B.A. degree
Career: 
  • Joined U.S. Navy in 1960 assigned to the USS Koontz.
  • Child Protective Services and Adult Services for 7 years in the State of Washington
  • Child Support Division of Missouri Department of Family Services where he retired after 18 years of employment.
Community Involvement: 
  • Served on the Laclede County R-1 School Board
  • Vendor's at the Marshfield Farmer's Market for the past 5 years.
Religion:
  • Member of the Community of Christ Church for 47 years and has served as an Elder since 1990
